The inspectors used the Video Fluorescence Document and Trace Inspection Instrument (Model SYJ-8), through the combined excitation of short-wave ultraviolet light source and anti-Stokes laser light source, matched with a special receiving filter, successfully developed the original "10,000 yuan" handwriting faded by bleaching, clearly restored the alteration process of the check, and at the same time, through the switching of side light and coaxial light, completely fixed the scraping traces on the check paper, and obtained the complete physical evidence of the suspect altering the bill. Based on the inspection results, the investigators locked the suspect's modus operandi and key evidence, finally successfully arrested the suspect and solved the major bill fraud case. The potential trace development capability of this equipment provided decisive scientific evidence for the detection and conviction of the case.
